Starrlite making a wish! Today was Starrlite's birthday. On the way to work, I had the taxi driver drop me off at a bakery shop. I picked up a cake & candles and planned to surprise her when she came in. There's a little office next to mine that no one uses, so I set the cake out with candles on it ready for her arrival. When she came in, she told me that her Mom was coming in about an hour with food. Great! Now I've got to pretend like there's not a cake next door melting for a whole hour. Her mom, step dad, and sister showed up with some home cooking and guess what? Another cake! I got her mom to go next door with me where we lit the candles and surprised Starrlite. It was great. The food was awesome. There was fresh spicy kim chi, a beef dish, and a yummy rice dish. We had some beer, cola, cake, and kim chi! Good times baby! What I learned today about Korea: 1) Did I mention Starrlite brought pepperoni pizza to work yesterday?
