Da plane....da plane!

My flight was Japan Airlines #69.  Woo Hoo!  The seats where much smaller than I had anticipated.  I couldn't even buckle my seat belt.  I think that means I'm a fat pig...not sure though.  Every time the flight attendants would come by to make sure your seat buckle was secure, I'd drape it over my lap and hide the other side with a magazine.  I'd lose some weight, but every time I lose it, I find it again!

There were only a few other Americans on the flight.  One actually sat next to me, but he was too busy reading the latest Harry Potter book for conversation.

The flight was very long.  I lost track of time after I saw the sun come up & down ten times.  There was a baby crying a lot, but that ended when I stowed it properly and securely in the overhead compartment.  I slept a couple of times and they fed us twice.  The food wasn't too bad.  We had our own TV screen on the seat back of the seat in front of us, so we could watch movies, etc.  I watched two different movies that I would never pay for - Guess Who & Monster-in-Law.

There was also a channel that showed our flight path.  That was really sweet.  It got depressing after a while once you saw how slow the plane seemed to be moving 1/2 way across the world.  I had to be careful to not stare at that too long.  Two other channels were connected to cameras that showed you the view from the front of the plane and the view from the bottom.  That was very cool.  Especially over the ocean and during takeoff & landing.
