A short clip of me doing a roll

(I looped it 3 times)

I've been taking Hapkido for the past couple of weeks.  I'm having a lot of fun.  I've done Taekwondo, Shotokan Karate, and some other martial arts training before and I've wanted to do something like this again for a long time.  I always seem to find an excuse for not allocating time to fit martial arts into my busy schedule.  It's easy when you're the laziest man on the planet.

When I originally researched Hapkido (Wikipedia info), I was surprised to learn it originated in Korea.  I thought it would be a very unique opportunity to study a martial art in the actual country it was founded.  Hapkido was actually founded in Daegu by Choi Yong Sul (Wikipedia info).  And I just happen to currently live in Daegu!  So, I feel pretty lucky to be able to study it here.  My Gwan Jang Nim (master instructor) is a Black Belt 8th level Dan and a really talented teacher.  Of course, everything he says to me is in Korean, so I have to watch his movements closely or do my best to understand him.  Jin translates when I get really lost.

What I learned today about Korea:  1)  My flipping clip looks completely retarded.
